42/365 - Task: Chew!

Every day is about crossing tasks off my list, I probably get high just from knowing that something is done! Somehow I got to be part of this group of women that seem to have every hour of the day planned. There’s too many of us out there!

How’s life going to look like in 5 years if we keep it up like that?

I realised I got a bit too far when I kept pushing my meals until I would completely forget to eat and when the time would come I would be too hungry. Now, don’t get me wrong, I practice Intermittent Fasting sometimes, but when I do, I break it with good food and more importantly I take time to chew it.

A doctor once said that a slowly eaten burger is healthier than a swallowed salad. Makes sense to me!

They say you should chew every bite at least 50 times! Let that sink in for a moment…

We should eat our meals without being distracted (phone, kids, chatting, TV etc.) and we should never pile up food on the the fork or spoon. I tried it a few times and it’s a game changer, it actually allows the brain to get the information that the stomach is saturated without the extra feeling that it is going to burst.

It’s chew properly or accept the sounds my stomach make when I don’t, they remind me of that scene with Sigourney Weaver and the alien!

Let’s chew and if necessary add a slot for meals in your diaries!

We got this!
